Film is still the expired Kodak Tri-X @ ISO 80. Shot with Pentax LX / Steinheil Quinon 55mm F1.9 + Zeiss Contax Planar 50mm F1.4
So it turns out that for B&W film, Quinon wins for its unique swirly bokeh rendering, while Summicron wins for its subtle mid-tone richness (3D pop). Planar has no magic in B&W so far. I will give it another try with a roll of color negative and see if there’s any advantage.
